The 25th Meeting of China-Russia Mixed Committee on Fishery Cooperation was held in Shenzhen, China on March 15-18, 2016.
The two sides held in-depth discussions on a number of issues, including fishery cooperation in waters at the border areas and marine fishing cooperation.
The two sides spoke highly of the bilateral fishery cooperation in 2015, and agreed that, with joint efforts, fishery production in border areas remained in order and fishery exchanges and cooperation generated good results. The two sides also reached agreement on 2016 fishing quotas and fishing operation requirements in Russia exclusive economic zone in the west Berling Sea, joint inspection, stock release and enhancement in border waters, and measures to strengthen crackdown on illegal trade in aquatic products.
